Apple unveils the new iMac with M4, supercharged by Apple Intelligence and available in fresh colours

Apple revealed the latest iMac with the advanced M4 chip and Apple Intelligence, in a strikingly slim design, today. With the M4 chip, iMac's performance is significantly boosted for daily tasks and demanding activities like photo editing and gaming compared to the M1 chip. The Neural Engine in M4 makes the iMac the premier all-in-one device for AI, designed for Apple Intelligence to enhance user productivity, communication, and creativity while safeguarding privacy. There are a variety of stunning new colors available for the new iMac, and the 24-inch 4.5K Retina display now has a nano-texture glass option. The iMac also comes with a new 12MP Center Stage camera with DeskView, up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports, and matching color accessories that have USB-C compatibility. Priced from INR 134900, the new iMac now comes with 16GB of unified memory and can be pre-ordered today, with availability starting on Friday, November 8.

The iMac receives a performance enhancement from the M4 chip. With the world's fastest CPU core, the new iMac is up to 1.7x faster than the iMac with M1, thanks to its more powerful CPU. Users will experience this level of performance in tasks such as switching between their preferred apps and surfing the internet on Safari. With a highly capable GPU showcasing Apple's latest graphics architecture, iMac with M4 is able to tackle demanding tasks such as photo editing and gaming up to 2.1 times faster than iMac with M1. This feature also allows for a more seamless gaming experience in games such as the upcoming Civilization VII. The new iMac includes 16GB of faster unified memory by default and can be upgraded to 32GB. The Neural Engine in M4 is now more than three times faster than on iMac with M1, solidifying its position as the top all-in-one for AI and speeding up user productivity.

A New Era with Apple Intelligence on the Mac

Apple Intelligence introduces a new age for the Mac by adding personal intelligence to the PC. Utilizing advanced generative models alongside innovative privacy measures, Apple Intelligence taps into the capabilities of Apple silicon and the Neural Engine in order to introduce novel methods for users to engage in work, communication, and self-expression on Mac devices. It can be found in American English with macOS Sequoia 15.1. Users can improve their writing by editing, checking, and summarizing text in numerous writing locations with systemwide Writing Tools. Users can seamlessly transition between spoken and typed requests with the updated Siri to increase productivity, and Siri is able to provide information on a wide range of topics related to Mac and other Apple products. Additional capabilities will be released in the future following the debut of new Apple Intelligence features in December. The new iMac featuring M4 is environmentally friendly, made with 100% recycled aluminum in the stand and 100% recycled gold plating, tin soldering, and copper in various printed circuit boards. It meets Apple's energy efficiency standards and is free of mercury, brominated flame retardants, and PVC. This year, the packaging for the iMac has been completely switched to fiber materials, as part of Apple's aim to eliminate plastic from their packaging by 2025.
